sounding the sacred: beyond silence

Last week Goeyvaerts String Trio made his debut in New York, invited as part of conference Sounding The Sacred. With a focus on sound and embodiment. We made a unique program in collaboration with Peter Bouteneff and Nicholas Reeves, focussing on the earlier works of Arvo Pärt. A program where Goeyvaerts String Trio joined forces with Andrew Shenton, Yousif Sheronick and Matthew Anderson (tenor). The extended trio with Maria Valdmaa, Alex Chance and Tore Denys performed Stabat Mater.

A rocking concert according to following reviews:

Four busy days in a city that never sleeps with meetings about future projects for Guggenheim Museum with Charles Wuorinen and even some more exciting projects which you will hear about in the near future.

Many thanks to the Flanders House in New York for supporting us in this adventurous city.

We’ll be back on 28-29 October 2018.
